Since the refurbishment of our energy systems, we have been generating electricity for our main building using our own block heating station.

The GRAFENWALD is in possession of a green electricity certificate: our hotel is supplied with green electricity.

We have decided to reduce housekeeping. This saves cleaning agents, water and energy.

We convert our used bulbs to LEDs.

We dispose of kitchen and food waste via ReFood. The waste disposal company extracts electricity from the food waste in its own biogas plants and thereby saves 173,000 tonnes of CO2.

All other waste is fed back into the material cycle by our waste disposal companies, in the interests of a circular economy, or is used to recover energy.

In order to reduce CO2 emissions, our purchasing management system incorporates delivery times at defined regular intervals.

The GRAFENWALD prefers to work with regional suppliers and partners who also pursue sustainable goals.

Our new wine list includes regional wines as well as wines from Europe. Wines from overseas have been removed from our range following a reinterpretation of our wine list.

If possible, we attach great importance to working with reusable products.

With our specially designed flowering meadows in the hotel complex, which enjoy a sophisticated mowing approach, we contribute to the preservation of biodiversity.
